kanzashi flowers

For a large flower, you will need around 12 circles, I used the lid off a tin of Monetta Wafer Biscuits
You can also use the opening on a large tumbler/glass
How much fabric you need depends on how large a circle you are planning to make.

 Trace your circles and cut them all out

Fold your circle in half

Fold your circle in half again like above

Fold each corner into the middle, kind of like you are making a paper plane


Fold the 'plane' back on its self and sew through with a needle (best to use upholstery thread)

Your petal should look similar to this

Repeat process as many times for the petal that you require.

Spread the petals out like so 
 

 you can then sew the flower together:

 

you then turn the flower over and you can attach your button, or doily or whatever it is you choose to attach!
